Knowing God

Do you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior?

Get to Know Him...

In John chapter 3, Jesus tells a Jewish ruler named Nicodemus that "unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

What an interesting statement! Even Nicodemus had trouble understanding how someone could be born when they were old.

Jesus was speaking of a spiritual experience where the heart is transformed and God grants forgiveness of sins.

The message of our eternal salvation can be explained by understanding five different points.

Romans 11:6 - And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if by works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

The scripture is teaching us that heaven is a completely free gift. This is completely different than any other religion in the world who teaches that man must earn the favor of God. Christianity teaches that God's favor can only be had as a free gift.

Salvation is a gift that is not earned or deserved no matter how hard we work for it.

The bible clearly teaches that man is a sinner and he cannot save himself. The book of Romans states that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". The bible also teaches that all of our own righteousness is like filthy rags.

By his very nature, God is merciful. In fact the prophet Jeremiah declares to us that God has loved us with an everlasting love. If you want a perfect definition for love, all you have to say is God, for God is love! Because He loves us, God doesn't have a desire to punish us, but by nature God is also just and therefore he must punish sin.

As much as God loves us, His holiness must punish sin. The bible tell us in the book of Exodus that God will by no means clear the guilty and because we are all sinners we are deserving of God's punishment.

Jesus is the Son of God and according to John chapter one, He is from the beginning and nothing in the universe was made without Him.

Jesus is the infinite God-Man and he knew no sin and because of that He was able to die on the cross and pay the penalty for our sins. It doesn't stop there however; Jesus died for our sins but he also conquered death and the grave and he rose from the dead and has prepared a place for us in heaven.

The key to our salvation is faith. The book of Ephesians tells us that "it is by grace that you have been saved through faith." Instead of trusting in ourselves or our own good works to save us, we must have faith in the blood of Jesus Christ and the work that He did on the cross for our salvation.

Now that you’ve read how much God loves you and wants to forgive you of your sins, you need to make a very important decision. Either Yes to accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior or No.
The decision is yours.

Salvation and Redemption

In Acts chapter eight, a believer named Phillip preached the gospel to a very important Ethiopian man. After hearing the truth about Jesus Christ the man believes and simply asks what would stop him from being baptized. Phillip tells him that he would need to believe with all of his heart. The Ethiopian man answered him and said that he believed with all of his heart. Salvation and redemption happened that very day and it can happen today for you as well.
